Sunrise over Martinique
The local pilot climbs aboard the Serenity
This impressive church is now made of steel – burned down too many times when built and rebuilt of wood.
We docked in the business part of the island (which we had explored on a previous visit) so we took a ferry to the beaches across the bay.
I loved being surrounded by people speaking French. Martinique is not a colony, it is a département of France.
